What does Genuine Love Look like??
Have you ever taken a deep look into the way you love people? Have you ever noticed yourself limiting your love for a person once they are no longer pleasing to you? If you are human, I am sure you have experienced this. Most times we do not even notice that we are not loving the way that God intended us to love. God is love and when we feed our flesh more than our spirit we most likely love from the world’s level of love. When we see the word, love described in the bible is tells us that love is patient, love is kind, It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres (I Corinthians 13:4-8).
This examples shows us everything that love it and what’s required when loving a person. Most times we get stuck on what we think love should look like instead of modeling the love of God. Have you ever taken the time to wonder if God loved us the way that we perceive love to be? We would be cast out and done away with. However we know that the love he has for us is unchangeable even unto death. Once we understand the fullness of the love of God then we will be able to understand our call to love unconditionally. Most time people love with their lips and not their heart. We have to be careful with this because the bible tells us that the heart is deceitful.
In Proverbs 21:2, the bible tells us every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondered the heart. There are many ways that we can mimic the heart of our father but the greatest trait that we can show is his love. At times it will be challenging to show this love when people have misused, hurt and abuse you but you will kindly show them the love of our father and lay them at his feet. When you find yourself in a battle with the mind, remember that the love of God is faithful and unconditional.

Society has convinced us that Genuine Love doesn't exist and that we should only be concerns with self love. This is not the way that God the creator created us to be. He wants us to love one another freely without being unhindered by the negative thoughts against genuine love. Most people don't know how to provide this type of love because they were never taught the importance of Genuine Love.
Get Inspired
Get inspired to love on someone today for the reason of God, not because you feel they deserve it or not but just to simple show the love of God. Remember to love sets us free from bondage!
